The headquarters is located at 12099 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, VA 22035, with ample parking available across the street at the Fairfax County Government Center.
This unique 5K offers an incredible opportunity to honor National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and draw attention to the critical link between animal cruelty and domestic violence. Participants can choose to run, walk, or even stroll alongside their pups, promoting community solidarity and safety. Don’t miss the demonstration by the Fairfax County Police Department’s K-9 Unit at 8:45 AM, a display of the dogs' zesty agility and the team’s dedication to public safety. Moreover, the event features a Best Dressed Dog Contest—so dress up your furry friend in their cutest outfit—and a photo booth to capture those joyful moments. After completing the race, participants can enjoy a raffle, socialize with fellow dog enthusiasts, and explore education booths offering vital resources for victims of domestic violence and information on animal welfare.
