This groundbreaking legislation proposes the creation of a specialized unit within the FBI to investigate and prosecute acts of cruelty such as dogfighting, cockfighting, and the production and distribution of animal crush videos. In tandem with the FBI ACT, the Animal Cruelty Enforcement Act (H.R. 1477) focuses on building a dedicated team of animal cruelty prosecutors within the U.S. Department of Justice.
